User Persona
👩 Persona 1: Jessica
Age: 31
Occupation: Marketing Manager
Goals
Find a stylist she can trust long-term
Book quickly between work hours
See real results before committing
Frustrations
Doesn’t want to call/text to book
Finds Instagram-only portfolios unreliable
Wants a professional but warm vibe
Why she uses the site
Jessica searches “hairstylist near me,” lands on Kayla’s site, scans services + work, and books right away through the online button.
👩🦱 Persona 2: Maya
Age: 24
Occupation: Grad Student / Barista
Goals
Find a new style for an event
Support a local, woman-owned business
Browse casually before deciding
Frustrations
Gets overwhelmed by busy sites
Doesn’t trust booking through DMs
Needs to feel a personal connection first
Why she uses the site
Maya hears about Kayla from a friend, uses the site to get a feel for her style and personality, and books once she feels comfortable.
🛣️ User Journey
I mapped a simplified journey to understand how clients move from discovery to booking. The goal was to highlight where they hesitate (trust, service clarity, pricing) and make sure the site answers those questions quickly before guiding them to Vagaro.
🎨 Moodboard
Low-Fidelity
Drafted initial wireframes to structure the app layout and test basic navigation.
Mid-Fidelity
Mid-fidelity focused on refining hierarchy, CTA placement, and scroll rhythm before visual styling.
High-Fidelity
Single primary CTA (“Book Now”)
kept consistent from hero to footer to reduce decision fatigue
Service scanning layout
lets users understand offerings in under 10 seconds.
Trust signals early
(reviews + real work photography) to answer “is she legit?” fast.
✨ Final Thoughts
Because booking occurs through Vagaro, success was measured by client confidence and booking intent rather than on-site SEO traffic.
